Welcome to Capulford ltd Boarding kennels
Capulford Kennels is a family business run by ourselves, Kevin and Frances Harding and our son Stuart. We have a long standing love of animals, dogs in particular, having 11 of our own, ranging from an Irish Wolfhound to a Chihuahua. They all live together sharing our home with us. The kennels are set in 3 acres surrounded by 150 acres of woodland, creating a pleasant and sheltered location for your dog(s) to spend his/her holiday.
We make every effort to ensure your pet has a happy and relaxed stay at Capulford, therefore all our pens are spacious. The smaller pens will take 2 medium sized dogs and the larger, family pens up to 3 wolfhounds comfortably. Each pen has its own attached outside run to which there is access all day. We never mix dogs from different families.
There is underfloor heating throughout which as well as providing warmth helps to keep the kennels and dogs dry, thus keeping both smelling fresh. The warmth also reduces stress levels encouraging our boarders to curl up and relax.
Another stress reducer is the twice daily walks. Most dogs appreciate the opportunity to have a sniff around and as most dogs prefer to "go" away from their sleeping quarters, the added bonus is to help keep their quarters clean and fresh.
Dogs are walked individually or in family groups, never mixed with others and always on a lead (too many rabbits). However we do have a large fenced off grassy area, where dogs can be taken for a game of fetch off lead and for the older less active dog who may not be up to a steady walk but will enjoy a potter round and having a good sniff, it makes a change from the kennel block.
Inspection of the kennels is welcome at any time during our open hours, no appointment is necessary.
